The Silk Road Festival NYC brings together communities whose histories are tied to the ancient trade routes between Asia and Europe. In 2026 the festival gathered representatives of fourteen countries at the Oceana Theatre in Brooklyn for an afternoon of performances, exhibitions and food.

Turan American Heritage Association presented Uzbekistan: a stage performance by our dance group in traditional ikat and embroidered dress, a display table of ceramics, textiles and handicrafts, and a chance for visitors to learn about Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. Thank you to the organizers and to the volunteers who staffed the table all afternoon.
